      It depends on capacity of your registrar. You can receive the birth certificate, the next moment you apply for it. In normal case you will get in in 2 - 3 days.

    why the application is not available also in english? and how come you don't need any proof of parent's identification or signature? my husband is registering our son in the bangladeshi embassy in london and they did't ask for permission or any kind of proof of me(the mother)or my signature...why? what documents we need to register our son?

      Thats a good question :)

      May be the bangladesh government didn't planned to extending this online registration facility to embassies at first. Expecting the language selection feature in upcoming version.

      The online application is just an application. It dosen't mean that your birth is registered. For registering the appliation, you have to submit the relevant documents to proove parents identity, address etc. You may get more information from your embassy.

    How much it will cost?And if it is free of charge then why the people of Union council paying for Birth Certificate?As far as I know it's 150-200 TK for a birth certificate!

      Basically the issue of certificate is free of cost. But there is a chance registrars collecting a nominal fee based on the policies of registrars.

      If you have already registered your birth, then you are not supposed to reapply for new birth certificate. You can contact your registrar for updated certificate.

    I had a home birth in Bangladesh, so obviously I do not have a birth certificate. I live in Canada and I want to get my name changed but a name change requires a birth certificate. Can I order one? How about can I acquire one? And what will I need in order to be eligible for a birth certificate as I live in Canada.

      For amendments in certificate you will have to go to the Rangpur City Corporation and produce a request in writing with supporting documents. The certificate will be amended and reissued at the earliest.

      Though you are a citizen of India, since your birth has taken place in Bangladesh, you have to obtain the Birth Certificate from Bangladesh. You can contact the Embassy of Bangladesh in India for more details

      Sorry to say that online birth registration is not active in Netherlands. You have to contact your local registrar in Bangladesh.

    Dear Admin,
    Recently I have applied for birth certificate online. I have completed it and submitted it.
    Then i noticed that there was a mistake in the address i have selected.
    But there is no edit after submit.
    I have not taken the printed certificate yet. i want to make a fresh copy / edit the existing one.
    But the system says the application is already submitted.
    How can i cancel my old application and submit a new one

    My 16-year old daughter was recently issued a birth certificate by city corporation. Unfortunately in "Sex" option there is printed "Male" instead of "Female". Her supporting document submitted during application clealy mentioned "Female". Please advise on how to make the correction.

      You can walk in to the corporation where you registered the birth and is eligible to make the amendment and get a new birth certificate.

    I was born in a village of comilla district.But i registered my birth in Habigonj district where i am working for the last 10 years.Now i am going to migrate in USA. Now i applied for higher studies in abroad they asked for digital birth certificate which must be online verified!
